Boys 100m heat 3 at Byron Nelson All Relays meet
This weekend was the second full weekend of track and field action across the state. It feels as if there were more track meets in Texas this weekend than in the rest of the other states combined.
No complaining here. That just means we get to see more of the best track and field athletes in the nation because we all know the best athletes are either born, bred, or both right here in the great state of Texas.
Sprints
The weather is kind of weird here in this part of the country. That sometimes leads to some pretty outstanding times in the sprints every now and then. It's hard to tell which times are legit or which ones are aided by the elements.
However, this weekend, some pretty impressive marks were dropped in the 100m. Six times of 10.70 and under were dropped including the fastest time of the weekend was a 10.44 by Jose Garcia from Harlingen.
