Lange will enter the 2018 cross season coming off an impressive junior season. He has been a solid runner since he hit the high school level, but last year, he really took off improving his PR by nearly 50 seconds down to 15:33.01. In fact, out of the many races in 2017 he only had two that were over 16:00. He qualified for the UIL 6A state cross country meet for the first time as he ran 15:49.50 for a 40th place overall.
On the track, Lange continued his big time running. He ran PRs in every distance race with his 2:01.76, 4:24.39, and 9:26.11. His spring success joined with what he was able to do on the cross country courses in the fall make Lange one of the top 6A returners for the 2018 season and rank him #20 in the state.
