The 200m event in Texas has been a hot one for the girls. The amount of 23-second in recent year proved that the Lone Star girls have put it together for a fairly tough event for the high school ranks.

Skylar Brazzell (Northwest Nelson) is the only returner from last season who was one of the sub 24-second blazers. Tagging along with her at the top of the heap of returners are several defending outdoor state champions who went 24.5 or faster.
