The Mansfield Lake Ridge senior is yet another athlete on this list who has shocked a lot of people. Stapleton is the state leader in both vertical jumping events on the indoor season.
Stapleton popped an outstanding 49-5.5 triple jump for a lifetime best at the Carl Lewis Invitational. That jump was also good enough the the meet record by a half an inch as well as the #1 time in the nation, at the time. A week later, Stapleton cranked out the state's top long jump mark of 22-9 at the Texas Tech Under Armour High School Classic.
