Round Rock
The Round Rock boys also had a real dominating performance this weekend at the Round Rock Invitational. When I say dominating, they literally just about had the meet of a life time.
No exaggeration, they won nearly every event on the track. They bagged the 100m and 200m - Ryan O'keefe (10.70 and 21.45), 400m - Preston York (50.78), 800m - Hayden Gray (1:58.18), and 1600m and 3200m - Kobe Yepez (4:19.80 and 9:36.29), 4x100 Relay (42.30), 4x200 (1:29.73) and 4x800 (8:14.04).
Their point total came from more than just wins. Round Rock earned a couple of second and third place finishes (1600m - Hayden Gray 3rd, 4x400 - 2nd, triple jump - Titus Dunk - 2nd, and Haydan Frisbie 3rd) to round out their free for all scoring spree.
With these times and finishes, Round Rock could have won just about any meet in the entire state. Watch out for the boys from "The Rock!"
