Cameron Anthony Miller
The Dallas Bishop Dunne sprinter is one of the top sprinters in the country. Miller has been dazzling all season long going back to the indoor season.
He leads the TAPPS rankings in the 100m (10.35) and in the 200m (20.56). This weekend, we could see the University of Florida signee climb up the state and national rankings if he produces some more big time marks.
Carter Cheeseman
The Fort Worth Christian senior has made a name for himself ever since he arrived to Texas. Cheeseman has won TAPPS state titles both in cross country and last track season.
He has also developed into a national level talent by taking the country by storm in both seasons at the highest level. This weekend, the University of Notre Dame signee will look to win a couple of more TAPPS state title before ending his high school career.
Josh Shearer
The Woodlands Christian distance star looks to be going out swinging in his senior year. Shearer has been running lights out all season long.
He has lowered his 1600m PR (4:19.32) by nine seconds and his 3200m (9:12.62) PR by 31 seconds.
Ben Shearer
Yes, there are two Shearer brothers with insane running abilities. Ben is the younger of the two brothers but also just as talented as his older brother. He also has improved by strides in the span of one year and now could challenge for a state title.
Abraham Avila-Rodriguez
Rodriguez was third last season at the TAPPS 2A state meet in the 1600m and 3200m. The Austin San Juan Diego junior is making people take notice. If you haven't, then shame on you. He has come out of nowhere from being a good TAPPS runner to being one of the best in the state.
Rodriguez ran a 9:17.83 PR in the 3200m at the Texas Relays for a sixth place finish. He ran in the lead for a couple of laps to the surprise of many on lookers.
He is just getting started and things begin this weekend in what could result in a state championship and a possible push to post season meets.
