4A State Champions Canyon Confirmed For MileSplit TX XC Inv.

The Canyon Lady Eagles are the most recent team scheduled and confirmed for the MileSplit TX Invitational by Denton Guyer on September 14, 2019.

The meet already had the possibility of three of the top distance runners in Texas go head to head.

Denton Guyer junior Brynn Brown is the 2018 UIL cross country runner-up. She also the 1600m and 3200m state champ at the 2019 state track meet setting a state record in the 3200m.

We'll also potentially see three time UIL 5A triple crown winner London Culbreath from McKinney North

Add Flower Mound sophomore Natalie Cook who was fifth at the state cross county meet, second in 3200m, and third in the 1600m at the state track meet. That gives a potential big time match up in the girls race. was already poised to be a good one.

Now the addition of the 4A state champs to a race already poised to be a good one means it just got better over night. Canyon will bring a team team capable of contending with the larger schools for a team win at this meet. They also have some individuals who could contend as well. Their top two runners of Breanna Stewart (2018 4A runner-up) and Gabi Davis (2018 4A 9th place and 800m champ) will both test the field individually.
