12. Breanna Stuart - Canyon
The Canyon youngster wasted no time letting the state of Texas know there is another stud out in the panhandle of Texas. As a freshman, your first high school race could be intimidating, but not for Stuart. She ran 18:10 for her first race and won. That trend would continue as she finished in the top three in every race all season long including the state meet. Stuart was literally edged out for the 2018 UIL 4A state title, however her second place finish was enough to lead her squad to the team title. Stuart would not accept not winning when it came to the track. She won both the 1600m and the 3200m at the state track meet turning in 5:08 and 10:57 winning performances. Now that she knows the ropes, expect Stuart to use the experience to dominate in 2019.
