Before the devastating news of COVID-19, the Houston Metro Area Girls 800m Dash was building up to be one of the "Premier Events" heading into the 2020 UIL Regional Qualifying. These young ladies have boldly climbed to the top of the National Rankings chart very early this season. What's even more impressive is that the 2021 class can be considered "The Leader of the Pack"! Hopefully, we can continue with the 2020 UIL season. There could be multiple sub-2:10s heading to the 2020 UIL State Meet from the Houston Metro Area.
To rank in the top 10 in the first weekend of March, You had to run in the 2:16s. No only were the UIL girls tearing up the tracks, but there are also three TAPPS girls sitting in the top 10 of the Houston area.
