Yesterday, we put out our prospective top Boys DMR teams; today, we put out top prospective the girls teams. To come up with our opinion, we put each team's top 800/1600m runner on first leg. From there, we used their next top half milers and milers to see who are the top teams. Now, we know its likely coaches wouldn't necessarily use these aren't the lineups, but for arguments sake, this is as fair of a way to gage it.
The 400m legs are often times insignificant with the three distance legs. However, when the three distance legs are even, they become difference makers.
Katy Cinco Ranch had the best time this season in the actual rankings. Even though the season was short, they are our top ranked team still based on the season's data. Their lead off and anchor legs are perhaps the strongest in the state, but a strong 400m leg is perhaps the difference maker in giving them the go ahead over a strong prospective Southlake Carroll team.
