Right outside of College Station, Texas, many of the state's top high school pole vaulters will compete this weekend for a championship.
COVID-19 prematurely ended the 2020 high school season and the goal of a state championship for many athletes. However, when restrictions were lifted and health precautions and guidelines were set in place, the pole vault community got back to work and competing.
This weekend will wrap up a 2020 summer competition circuit and champions will be awarded.
Meet organizers have set in place strict COVID-19 health guidelines and practices for both competitors and specators.
