Diallo Good was more than good at the Lancaster Meet of Champions. The Cedar Hill senior sprinter has been working hard since football season ended and you can tell he is making progress in the early goings of the 2021 track and field season.
Good lined up for the 100m and had a tall task of competing against Duncanville junior Pierre Goree. Goree entered this weekend's competition with two elite level speed and a 10.62 PR and a 10.74 SB. Good's best mark of the season was a 11.18 at the cool and windy Cedar Hill Longhorn Invitational.
This weekend's showdown was the fastest 100m of the season with six boys running under 10.88. Good and Goree battled down the track with Good coming out with the win in 10.55 to 10.59 for Goree. "It felt good, I feel like I can do better, I just gotta keep working hard to drop that time some more," Good said.
Hard work will bring the continued improvement he is looking for, but for now, cleaning up some things on his star will bring quick gains, "I kinda stumbled a little big, but I can fix that."

Competing in college
Good is yet to sign to run in college, but with the expected improvements in the upcoming weeks, that could chance in due time. With plans to run in college, D1 interest should start coming in soon. Now, I feel like I have a good chance of going D1, after that (race) I do."
