After the UIL 6A state meet, the Duncanville track and field program learned that head coach Leon Paul was accepting a new position as nearby Lancaster High School as the head football coach.

Paul was integral in rejuvenating the Duncanville program after coming over from Kennedale. He coached both football and track helping to infuse the two programs as they re-established themselves as state powerhouses.

Now that Paul has moved on, Duncanville is continuing to move forward towards excellence that they have seen on both the girl's and boy's track and field sides.

They've hired Fort Worth Trimble Tech's Clayton Brookins as the new boy's head track and field coach. Brookins is a Former NCAA All-American in track and field at TCU competing in the 400 hurdles and the 4x400 relay.

Brookins will get to formulate Duncanville into his type of program; he has already proven that he can develop state champions while at Fort Worth Trimble Tech.
