The 2021 MileSplit TX XC Inv. hosted by Denton Guyer HS is forming up to be a collection of some of the top teams in the state of Texas and should result in a power packed meet.
Programs like The Woodlands, Grapevine, Keller, Canyon, Frisco Liberty, have all won state titles in recent years. The Grapevine boys won the 2020 UIL 5A state championships and the Canyon girls won the 2018, 2019, and 2020 UIL 4A state championships. The Valley View boys were second at the UIL 3A boys state cross country championships last year and The Woodlands girls and boys were both third place finishers in the UIL 6A competition, and Colleyville Heritage was third in the 5A girls.
Other registered teams like Conroe, Fort Worth Boswell, Prosper Rock Hill, Plano East, Plano West, The Colony, and Plano have been up and coming teams over the past couple of seasons.
The Wylie boys and Austin Lake Travis boys, and both up and coming Guyer squads could be surprising teams this upcoming fall and will help make for an exciting team battle in Denton.
