This is the last big weekend for many UIL cross country athletes; the regional championships.
Region 1 is known as the "Region of Doom" and there is no reason to believe that moniker won't live up to the billing next week in Lubbock.
The region is always stacked with elite individuals and teams and that's from the 1A competition level up through the 6A competition level.
