TAPPS All-State Third Team
21 Katherine Kalsu (Austin St. Michaels)
Kalsu finished sixth in the TAPPS 5A state race.
20 Caroline Karr (Amarillo San Jacinto Christian Academy)
Karr won the Plainview Inv. with a sub 12 minute run. She had a 19:47 5K back in September, which proved she was going to have a good senior season. She finished runner-up at the TAPPS 3A state meet.
19 Sarah Teracina (Austin St. Michaels)
The outlook heading into this cross country season was positive for Teracina after her 11:34 in the 3,200m at TDF last spring. She ended the cross country season with a fifth place finish at the state meet in 12:50.
18 Marian Mann (Houston Northland Christian)
Houston Northland Christian freshman Mann ended her first high school cross country season successfully. Shewon two races and finished second in three including the TAPPS 4-4A district and the state meet.
17 Isabelle Luna (Houston St. Agnes)
Luna is a promising freshman and her 12:46 and top 10 finish at the TAPPS 6A state meet was huge for both Luna individually and St. Agnes who finished runner-up in the team race.
16 Addison Applebaum (San Antonio Christian)
San Antonio Christian junior Applebaum made a big jump this year and raced into the top 10 all season long. That includes her ninth place finish at the TAPPS 6A state meet. She was also consistent this year running within 10 seconds all season long.
15 Avery Owen (Dallas Lakehill Prep)
TAPPS girls run 2 miles at state, but Dallas Lakehill Prep junior Owen competed in six 5Ks this season. Her fastest was at 18:41 for her PR at the distance. This year was her third straight TAPPS state cross country meet. Last year, she was runner-up at the state meet and this year she won with a time of 12:41.
