Isaac Henderson Takes Texas A&M 60m Finals In 6.85

Isaac Henderson had quite the meet on Saturday when he lined up at the Gilliam Indoor Track Stadium on the Campus of Texas A&M University.

After qualifying for the 200m final on Friday, the Shadow Creek High School senior ratched things up a notch yesterday in his 60m performances.

Henderson, having already posted a 6.90 this indoor season at the FasTrak/Coach O Youth/HS/Masters Opener in December; just over a month later, he proved a that was only a tune up.

In the preliminary rounds, he turned in a top time 0f 6.89 to establish himself as one of the favorites for the finals.

For the finals, Henderson would leave no doubt that he is ready for the 2022 track and field seasons. He lowered his 60m PR and dashed to the win in 6.85 and a US No. 6 ranking.

There was no 2021 indoor season for the Shadow Creek sprinter with most of the meets nationwide being cancelled, including in the state of Texas for high school. Nevertheless, Henderson ran a 100m all-conditions best of 10.57 last year.

Adding a 21.90 PR in the 200m for seventh place, Henderson is now a runner to watch for in the 2022 indoor and outdoor track and field seasons.
