The Woodlands is scheduled to host a home meet this weekend. There will surely be some of the Houston area's top distance and middle schools attending if mother nature doesn't have any say so.
Currently, has the Highlanders have the boy's top time in the 4x800 relay after getting the win at the Crusader Relays. They ran a 8:04.20 and that is the top time of the season right now although it is a slight lead over Austin Lake Travis who set a school record this weekend of 8:05.81 with the win at their own invitational.
The girls leading mark is owned by Northwest Eaton. Eaton qualified for the UIL 6A state cross country championships in the fall and are using that momentum to top the state in the 4x800 relay. Dallas Highland Park is currently in the No. 2 ranked spot with their 9:52.36.
Here are the rankings in the event for both the girls and the boys for the state of Texas.
