Molly Haywood's 14-0 clearance at the Wildcat Relays
Tomball Memorial pole vaulter Molly Haywood is a young woman of many interests and talents. What many may not know are her Junior American Ninja Warrior accomplishment. What the track and field world knows her best for is pole vaulting.
Over the weekend, she jumped a 14-0 personal best at her home meet in Tomball. Not only was it a PR, but it is the new US No. 1 outdoor vault in the country.
Previously, she jumped 13-3.5 indoors at the The Millrose Games in late January when she finished fourth for her then personal best vault. She followed that up with a 13-2 at the Texas Indoor Championships.
The junior vaulter finished sixth last year at the UIL 6A Track and Field Championship with a 13-0 jump. She could be in the hunt for a state title this year as she has jumped higher 10 times since then.
