Chris Riley - Austin McCallum

The Austin McCallum senior will continue to run in his hometown as he signed to compete at The University of Texas. Riley wasn't able to finish his cross country season the way he wanted when it ended early, but he didn't let that stop him on the track.

He ran 4:20.43 at the Texas A&M High School Indoor Classic for a PR and then proceeded to run four more PRs in the outdoor season from the 800m through the 5K all in the month of March.  Riley was the hottest distance runner over the four weeks of the season with his 1:55.20, 4:05.78, 9:19.10, and 14:47.43.

Riley ended the season with the UIL 5A 1,600m state championship. He won the Texas Relays 1,600m and was undefeated in the event as well as the 3,200m this season. He was the only Texas runner to run 4:10 and under three times this year.
