Ameen Ibrahim is just starting his sophomore season at Pebble Hills High School High School in El Paso, but his second year running is off to a great start. He began the season by winning the Eastlake Falcons Invitational with a 16:42 in the three mile distance.
On top of that, the win earned him a spot in our first Performer of the Week poll. Ibrahim garnered enough votes to win the poll like he did the race. That earned him an interview with us where we talked about him and his running for a couple of minutes.
