Plano West girls compete at the 2022 Marcus Coach T Invitational
The Plano West girls did the unthinkable and they did it in a couple of ways.
By finishing fourth at the Region 1-6A Championships, they qualified for the UIL 6A Cross Country State Championships.
Plano West beat four top-10 state ranked teams in the toughest region in the state. It was an upset; doing such, it marks the first time in decades the girls program qualified a team to the state meet.
Coach Fairchild and the girls are elated for the opportunity to race at the state meet, but they plan to compete even better and give it their best shot at a podium finish.
