This Week's Nominees:
Jackson Kerth, Kerrville Tivy (Texas): Posted a massive PR of 62-7.75 at Nike Indoor Nationals, breaking his previous best of 61-8.5. The #2 junior in Texas moved to #6 nationally in his class and finished 7th out of 111 throwers.
Charvis Tubbs, Humble (Texas): Clocked a state-leading 46.11 to win the 400 at Grand Oaks Grizzly Relays, improving from his PR of 46.19.
Daevion Lewis, Manor New Tech (Texas): Swept three events at Viking Relays, setting PRs in each. The #1 sophomore in the state leaped 25-6 in the long jump, breaking his PR of 24-6.5. He also ran new PRs of 47.85 in the 400 and 21.53 in the 200, making him the #2 sophomore in Texas in the 400.
Dexter Mason, DeSoto (Texas): Won the 200 at Volunteer Relays with 20.99, a new PR that broke his previous best of 21.87 by nearly a full second and moved him to #4 in the state.
Jace Bennett, Utopia (Texas): Cleared 16-11.5 at New Balance Nationals Indoor to place 2nd out of 42 vaulters, a new PR from his previous best of 16-4 that ranks #10 nationally.
