The freshman boys distance running is getting faster and faster and this year was surely an exhibition of how fast this year's crop was. Caden Leonard (Southlake Carroll) has the fastest combined score of 13:21.51 thanks to his 4:5.02 and 9:06.49. He is closely followed by Noah Strohman (Holliday) with a 13:24.28. 

In the Rio Grande Valley, four boys Nathan Salinas (Mission Sharyland)Anthony Morales (La Feria)Armando Morales (La Feria), and Aaron Nava (Weslaco East) all have sub 13:55 combined times due to sub 4:26 and sub 9:30 performances this weekend.
