Elizabeth Leachman races on the Selma, Texas course at the Patriot Inv.
Last week, it was a 16:34 5K run at Westlake and this past weekend Boerne Champion sophomore Elizabeth Leachman dropped a whopping 40 seconds for a just as impressive run on the short course at the Patriot Invitation.
From the start of the gun, the challenge was on and it was her against the clock....she won. Leachman led an exciting race that formed behind her with Maddy Hunter (Katy) taking second place. She entered with a 18:36 5K PR and left with a 17:15 under her belt and Elin Latta (Unattached) finished in third place with an impressive 17:21.
McAllen junior Dana Rojas Vazquez who ran a 17:56 personal record last weekend lowered things to a 17:37. Smithson Valley junior Mia Perez ran a 18:54 PR last weekend and continued to run well with a 17:39 run this weekend.
