Pearland's Shawn Freeman Nets Two Wins At Genrations Park

Pearland senior Shawn Freeman is having himself a season.

While he would like to have this same enjoyment at the end of the season, more specifically in April and May, I doubt he'll turn his hand down at the way things are going.

Last weekend, at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet High School Invitational, he ran personal bests in the 800m (1:54.21) and in the 1600m as well (4:25.79).

His impressive running continued today in Turner stadium at the Generation Park T&F Invitational. Freeman won the 800m in 1:54.72 for his second best performance in the event. He later won the 1600m with a new PR of 4:23.41.

Turner Stadium is the site of the Region 3-6A Championships next month, which will decide who advances to the UIL 6A state meet.

The senior Oiler continues to run well, but that is when and where he hopes to continue his streak.
