The Boys Region 4-6A 800m Was A Fast With A Close Finish

The Region 4-6A boys 800m was a fast and furious championship race

The best way to run a championship 800m race is fast and furious. In my opinion, strategy and coasting doesn't make for an entertaining race and it's not what this event is about.

Speed, strength, and enduring pain is what makes this event stand alone from the rest and that is how the Region 4-6A Championships went down.

Austin Lake Travis half miler Noah Wood made sure this was going to be an honest race with his 54.4 first lap. He would however have several buys in tow with Alejandro Rosales (San Antonio Churchill), Luke Bone (Austin High), Landon Kempema (Austin Vandegrift) and Colby Huntress (Austin Anderson).

The four would continue to press things on lap two with Rosales and Bone becoming the pace authorities.

A 57-second lap two would test the fortitude of the guys in the race.

In the end, Bone and Rasales were barely able to keep their form finishing 1-2 with Bone running a 1:51.34 personal best and Rosales only seven-tenths of a second behind.  Wood would also post a fabulous time of 1:51.61.
