The freshmen class of cross country boys in the San Antonio area already has 41 runners who average less than 6:00/mile for a 5K and at the top of the rankings there are a wide variety of schools represented. At the top of the charts is Kaden Cypert of Floresville who has already run faster than any San Antonio freshmen ran during the 2023 season. He posted a 5K time of 15:49.00 at the Hays Invitational last weekend. His teammate, Riley Silva, comes in as the fifth-fastest freshman in the area and is on the precipice of breaking 17 minutes.
