Cara Sims (Elysian Fields) competes at the 2024 UIL State Track and Field Championships
It is going to be another early start and finish to the Outdoor track and field season in Texas. For some, track meets have already begun with only so much time in the year to get the allowable number of meets in.
An early start is good because we get to see track and field early. However, February weather is always a luck of the draw in Texas. It could be extremely good weather or it could be very cold.
We are taking a look at the East Texas area and it's top returners from last year's track and field season; we have the returning rankings for each event.
