We've officially entered the first full week of the calendar following the July 4th holiday, which means cross country season preparation is now underway. Across the country, athletes and teams are beginning their summer training-whether through team camps, organized practices, or individual workouts-all with eyes set on the 2025 cross country season.
To kick off our preseason coverage, we're starting with a look back at the top returning boys based on their performances from the 2025 track season. We've compiled the fastest 3,200m times from the spring and paired them with those athletes' best 1,600m marks to form a combined time list. While track speed doesn't always translate directly to cross country success, it does provide insight into each athlete's aerobic strength and racing potential heading into the fall.
