The Carl Lewis High School Invitational returns to the University of Houston from January 15-17, 2026, bringing one of the nation's premier indoor track and field showcases to the Yeoman Fieldhouse at the University of Houston.
Hosted inside a state-of-the-art facility featuring a six-lane, 200-meter banked oval, an eight-lane straightaway, multiple horizontal jump runways, and dedicated pole vault and throwing areas, the meet consistently attracts elite high school talent from across Texas and beyond.
With a carefully structured format that includes qualifying rounds in the sprints and hurdles, seeded finals in the middle distances, selective entry in the weight throw, and championship-style advancement in field events, the Carl Lewis Invitational offers athletes a true big-meet environment early in the indoor season-one that rewards preparation, depth, and competitive poise on one of the fastest tracks in the region.
