Boys compete in the 400m at the Texas High School Indoor Championships
With the 2026 track and field season underway, the boys' 400m event was very fruitful in the state of Texas in 2025 and features several returning boys who ran 47 seconds or faster. It is showing itself to be as bombastic as we all thought it would be, if not better.
After just two weeks, a sub-47-second performance has already been produced, as have eight other sub-48-second runs. Overall, 45 boys have run under 50 seconds, and more top returners haven't even competed at 400m, yet.
