The Jaguars have quietly built one of the deeper multi-event and distance rosters in the Metroplex
Last June at Hayward Field in Eugene, Blair Haverkamp competed in the heptathlon at Nike Outdoor Nationals and finished sixth with 4,599 points -- second in Texas, 24th nationally for the season. The year before, at Nike Indoor Nationals, she competed in the pentathlon and finished 12th with 3,161 points, second in Texas, 32nd nationally. This spring, during her last high school outdoor season, she has run 14.42 in the 100 hurdles and 42.77 in the 300 hurdles and cleared 5-4 in the high jump. The state rankings - 58th in the 100H, 20th in the 300H, 81st in the high jump - show just how good she is. She is a senior at Flower Mound and her last meet competing in a Jaguar uniform is just around the corner.
On the same afternoon Haverkamp ran 42.77 at UIL 6A Region 1 on May 1, Adeline Bennett won the 1600 in 4:46.40. It was a PR - her previous best was 4:47.75 from last spring - and it currently leads Texas. Bennett placed fourth at UIL XC State in back-to-back falls, running 17:43.70 in 2024 and 17:28.90 in 2025, and went to Nike Cross Nationals both years. In the 800 last spring she ran 2:10.94 at regionals and 2:11.53 at state.
Saina Awalegaonkar ran 2:21.02 in the 800 last spring. At regionals on May 1 she ran 2:10.51 - seventh in Texas. In between, she ran 2:15.27 at the Texas Distance Festival in March, 2:17.60 to win district, and 2:16.51 at the area meet. She has also run 58.50 in the 400, which took second at district.
Walker Morrison, also a sophomore, competed in the 2000m steeplechase at the Texas A&M Bluebonnet Invitational in March - 6:45.87, 32nd in Texas - and ran 9:56.09 in the 3200 at the Byron Nelson Invitational.
Ronin Bennett won the district cross country title in 2024 and ran state that fall. This spring he has run 4:28.82 in the 1600 at district and 2:04.21 in the 800 at the Charger Relays. Benjamin Macias sits 63rd in Texas in the 1600 at 4:19.29. Keira Primer is 63rd in the 3200 at 11:02.25. Liana Cluley-Garza is 67th at 11:03.52. Eli Adams is 80th in the 110H at 14.35. James Gesch is 106th in the pole vault at 14-3. Preston Neill is 106th in the shot put at 52-9.75. Jewel Barnes and Allie Driscoll are both in the Texas top 150 in the 3200 at 11:16.44 and 11:21.92.
There is so much more to come.
