The Program: Since 2000 Canyon has 3 District Team Titles and 2 Region Team Titles and 2 State Team Title
My name is Lauren Simpson, and I am a junior on the Canyon Lady Eagle cross
country/track team. Back in junior high, I was a volleyball player, basketball
player, and a sprinter on the track team. Coming into high school, my teammate
Danielle and I decided that since our friend Brooke ran cross country, we would
give it a shot to try to stay in shape for basketball. We were both hoping we
would make the JV team. To make a long story short, we both ended up really
enjoying running and are still doing it today.
