In the first of three meets at West Guth Park this season, the Texas A&M-Corpus Christ men’s and women’s cross country teams took the top spot in each race as they opened their seasons with the Island Relays. “This is very encouraging beginning,” said Islander coach Shawn Flanagan. “UT Arlington, Texas State and UTSA are all looking to be in the hunt at the Southland Conference meet an for us to do as well against them today is a great first step. “We have eight weeks to the conference meet and we just have to keep improving.” More of Article From Goislanders.com
