Women\'s Cross Country wins third consecutive Texas State Invitational Championship

SAN MARCOS, Texas -- Led by individual race champion and Texas sophomore Betzy Jimenez, the UT women’s cross country team won its third consecutive Texas State Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 8 at the Gary Jobs Corps Facility in San Marcos. UT accumulated 27 points with all five scorers placing in the top 10. “It was a good race to start the season,” said UT assistant track/cross country coach Steve Sisson. “I was happy with our times and where we are after the first race.
