32nd Greenhill Luke’s Locker Six-Mile Relay 2017

Dallas, TX

Meet Information

The Greenhill 6-Mile Relay race has been a mainstay on the Texas high school cross country schedule for the past 33 years.

The race was the brainchild of legendary Greenhill coach Tom Holodak. Holodak created the original course at Norbuck Park in Dallas and soon haybales and intense competition became the norm. And while champions have rotated among various schools, the meet has remained one of the longest running cross country events in Texas.

The 33rd Annual Greenhill/Luke's Locker 6-Mile Relay will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Norbuck Park. The season-opening relay will feature eight different races in four categories with a pair of hay bale obstacles along the course. In addition, the returning team champions from the previous season will be wearing the coveted Yellow Jersey singlets.

Deadline for entry into the 33rd Annual Greenhill/Luke's Locker 6-Mile Relay will be Wednesday, August 23, 2017. Below are special instructions on entry:

$30 for each relay team
$225 maximum fee for schools entered in more than two divisions
A school may enter two Varsity teams and an unlimited amount of Junior Varsity teams. There will be no additional charge for a school with more than three Junior Varsity teams.

Special Notes:
Please understand that in the case of inclement weather (beyond our control) that forces the cancellation of the race, school entry fees for the 6-Mile Relay will not be refunded.
Since this meet normally marks the beginning of the cross country season, we realize that it might be difficult with the entry fee so just bring it with you to the meet or mail it later on.
