Cross Country Invitational
Dear Coach,
We would like to invite you to the Yoakum Cross Country Invitational. This years meet
will be held Saturday, August 25th, 2018. The meet will be run at Yoakum City Golf
Course. We look forward to providing a quality meet for you and your team. This year
we will have 1 Varsity Division. Our goal is to get you great competition and back home
before it gets too hot.
Date: Saturday, August 26th, 2017
Divisions: Varsity Boys (2.5 Miles) LIMITED TO 10
Varsity Girls (1.5 Miles) LIMITED TO 10
J.V. Boys (2.5 Miles) UNLIMITED ENTRIES
J.V. Girls (1.5 Miles) UNLIMITED ENTRIES
Open Race/Junior High (1.5 Miles) UNLIMITED ENTRIES - This is open
to anyone, young or old. It can be your Junior High kids, (if school has started for you or
if parents bring them), JV boys that arent ready for 2.5 miles, coaches, parents, siblings
or anyone else who would like to run.
Meet Schedule: Rolling Schedule, but here is an estimated schedule
8:30 Varsity Boys - 2.5 Miles
8:50 Varsity Girls 1.5 Miles
9:05 J.V. Boys 2.5 Miles
9:30 J.V. Girls 1.5 Miles
9:45 Open Boys 1.5 Miles
9:46* Open Girls 1.5 Miles (Girls will start right after the boys, and get
separated in the finish chute)
Entries: Register on Direct Athletics by noon on Thursday, August. 23 rd , 2017.
If you would like to run 2 teams in the same division, you may do so as long as you pay
a separate entry fee.
Awards: Top 20 Individuals and Top 2 teams on the Varsity
Top 15 Individuals and Team Champion for the JV Divisions.
Top 15 Individuals, but No team awards for the open division (this yearhope to add
next year when planning add a Jr High only division in addition to open division).
Entry Fee: $85 per Varsity Team and $65 for JV team or $300 for boys and girls in both divisions
For every team you enter and pay for, you get 5 FREE entries into the open division (so
could get 20 FREE entries for junior high kids or ???) Additional open entries are $5
each.
