If you're looking for a great way to start off the 2026 season, you have found it! This race is perfect for opening up your season. Everyone runs 2 miles through the rolling hills of East Texas, all classifications and schools are invited! 

***NEW RACE FORMAT: Each division (3 divisions: Middle, JV, Varsity) will run boys and girls combined. Top 3 boys and top 3 girls on each team will be scored to get your teams total.  Max 7 girls and 7 boys on Varsity, other divisions are unlimited. 

***Middle School will race 1.5 miles, everyone else 2 miles. 

Schedule:

Rolling Start (times are estimated):

Varsity Girls and Boys Combined 2 mile 7:30 AM

JV Girls and Boys Combined 2 mile 7:50 AM

Middle Girls and Boys Combined 1.5 mile 8:10 AM

Race Site:

Course:

The course is pure cross country, mostly grass terrain with some twists and turns and some ups and downs through the East Texas countryside. (Similar course as the "Do It for Dom")

Awards:

Top individuals (Boys and Girls) finishing in the top 10 will receive a medal at the *finish line*. The 1st place team will receive a plaque.

Entries:

Register on txmilesplit.com on the calendar tab. Scroll down and you'll see our meet options. Click the register tab to secure your spot. Deadline for entries is Wednesday, August 12, 2026 5 PM

Timing/Results:

We will use EXTRA MILE RACE TIMING

The timing system will produce results quickly. Results will be posted through the race timing website webscorer. There is a QR code in your packet and located on the race site in various places. If your school wins 1st place in your race, please come pick up your plaque.

Spectators:

All spectators please be cognizant of the race taking place and stay off the course. Also, please don't run alongside the racers (per UIL rules). The course workers will have a side by side for the follow vehicle and one for emergency response... Please DO NOT bring you own.   

Bathrooms/Water:

We will provide porta potties at the race site. Please bring your own team water, but we will have some water at the finish line for athletes who just completed their race.

Fees:

PLEASE BRING CHECK TO RACE VENUE, MAKE CHECK OUT TO "EXTRA MILE RACE TIMING", NOT EUSTACE ISD, Your athletes will not be permitted to compete without entry fees paid in full. 

$15 per individual. Max $400 per school.
