BEAUMONT – After taking home nine individual titles at the Sam Houston State Quad Meet a week ago, the Lamar men’s and women’s track teams will look to keep things rolling at another conference meet this weekend, making the short trek to Lake Charles to participate at the McNeese Spring Time Classic.

BEAUMONT – Coming into his final year at Lamar, one of Joe Wade’s main goals was to win the Southland Conference’s Student Athlete of the Year award, and on Thursday, the Englishman accomplished just that, becoming the third-ever Cardinal to take home the designation for indoor season.

HUNTSVILLE - The Lamar men's and women's track teams couldn't have asked for much more at Saturday's Sam Houston State Quad Meet as the Cardinals accounted for nine individual titles and a number of other impressive finishes at Bowers Stadium.

BEAUMONT – The Lamar men’s and women’s track and field teams will continue their outdoor season on Saturday as a number of Cardinals will participate at the Sam Houston State Quad Meet in Huntsville.

PALO ALTO, Calif. – With a number of Lamar track athletes competing at the Texas Relays on Friday, Cardinal distance runners Matt Johnsen, Sam Stabler and Joe Wade made the trip to another major meet, participating at the Stanford Invitational at Cobb Track and Angell Field.

AUSTIN - The Lamar men's and women's track teams saw their Texas Relays competition come to an end on Friday afternoon at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.

BEAUMONT – A number of select athletes this weekend will look to make a name for themselves as the Lamar men’s and women’s track teams compete at the Texas Relays and Stanford Invitational.

HOUSTON - The Lamar track and field teams opened their season this weekend at the Victor Lopez Classic and after the dust settled on Saturday evening, a number of Cardinals walked out of Holloway Field and Ley Track with new personal records.

BEAUMONT – Most of the Lamar track team will be in action this weekend as the Cardinals are set to open the 2013 outdoor season at the Victor Lopez Bayou Classic on the campus of Rice University.

FRISCO - After a stellar showing at the Southland Conference Indoor Championships last weekend, high jumper Johnathon Reece was named the conference's Freshman of the Year on Thursday.

NORMAN, Okla. - It was an all-too-familiar sight at Mosier Indoor Facility during Saturday's Southland Conference Indoor Championships as Lamar distance runners once again put together a standout showing, led by mile champion Joe Wade and 3,000 meter champion Becky Gough.

BEAUMONT – With a new Southland landscape for 2013, the Lamar men’s and women’s track teams will be looking to take advantage of it as the squads head to Norman, Okla., to participate in the Southland Conference Indoor Championships this weekend at the Mosier Indoor Complex on the campus of the University of Oklahoma.

SEATTLE, Wash. — Joe Wade finished 23rd and Sam Stabler ended 29th as the Lamar track team competed in the 3,000 meter run at the Husky Invitational at Dempsey Fieldhouse on the campus of the University of Washington.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — Nick Fyffe finished fifth in the triple jump as Lamar wrapped up competition at the Tyson Invitational at the Randal Tyson Track Complex on the campus of the University of Arkansas.

BEAUMONT – Seven athletes from Lamar’s track and field teams will be looking to represent the school on a big stage this weekend at the Husky Invitational in Seattle, Wash., and the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Ark.

LAKE CHARLES, La. - Two weeks ago, Becky Gough grabbed the mile crown at an indoor meet on the campus of McNeese State, and on Friday she repeated the feat and added a 3,000 meter title to the mix as well as the Lamar track teams wrapped up a successful day at the Jeff Davis Invitational at the Ralph O. Ward Recreation Complex.

BEAUMONT – With just three weeks left until the Southland Indoor Championships, the Lamar track teams will see a number of athletes close out their respective regular seasons on Friday as the Cardinals hit the road to nearby McNeese State to compete at the Jeff Davis Invitational.

FRISCO, Texas – On the heels of a second consecutive victory in the mile run, Lamar runner Joe Wade was named the Southland Conference’s Men’s Track Athlete of the Week on Wednesday.

HOUSTON - Joe Wade picked right back up where he left off last week, taking home a second consecutive mile run title as the Lamar track teams closed out the Howie Ryan Invitational & Multi's at Yeoman Field House on the campus of the University of Houston.
