We take a look into the top of the graduating boys from this past season.

Nineteen Lamar track and field athletes, and a coach, have been named to the Southland Conference's All-Time Outdoor Track and Field Honor Roll announced league officials Friday afternoon. The Lamar men have 13 players named to the squad, while there are six Lady Cardinals honored.

Ten former Lamar men's and women's track and field athletes, and one former head coach have been named to the Southland Conference All-Time Track and Field Honor Roll announced league officials Thursday morning. The team consisted of six former men's athletes and four Lady Cardinal athletes.

NEW ORLEANS - Joe Wade, winner of both the indoor and outdoor Southland Conference Student-Athlete of the Year awards, put a cap on his final collegiate season on Wednesday as the graduate student took home All-Academic honors from the United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.

BEAUMONT – Joe Wade put the finishing touches on his career on Thursday as the highly-decorated Lamar distance runner took home the Southland Conference’s Outdoor Track and Field Student-Athlete of the Year award, becoming just the fourth in league history to take home both the indoor and outdoor honor in the same season.

AUSTIN – Joe Wade saw his illustrious Lamar track career come to an end on Friday night as he and Sam Stabler competed at the NCAA West Preliminaries at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.

BEAUMONT – The Lamar men’s track team is set to send distance standouts Sam Stabler and Joe Wade to this weekend’s NCAA West Preliminaries at Mike A. Myers Stadium on the campus of the University of Texas.

INDIANAPOLIS – Joe Wade and Sam Stabler are set to make return trips to the NCAA West Preliminaries, with Wade looking to make a second trip on to the Championships and Stabler looking to do the same for the first time.

LAKE CHARLES – Less than 24 hours after an unfortunate injury knocked Joe Wade out of the running for a second consecutive title in the 3,000 meter steeplechase, the graduate student returned to the track to win the 1,500 meter title as the Southland Outdoor Championships wound down at Cameron Communications Track and Field Complex on the campus of McNeese State.

LAKE CHARLES – Trevon Davis, Zach Hicks and Saschelle Slaughter set personal records on Saturday afternoon and the trio will look to parlay it into further success on Sunday as each advanced to the finals of their respective events at the Southland Outdoor Championships at Cameron Communications Track and Field Complex on the campus of McNeese State.

LAKE CHARLES – Both Matt Johnsen and Claire Miles laid claim to a part of the medal stand on Friday morning as each finished third in the 10,000 meter run at the Southland Outdoor Championships at Cameron Communications Track and Field Complex on the campus of McNeese State.

BEAUMONT – Ashley Idunoba and Joe Wade are certain to be in the mix for Lamar this weekend as the duo will look to repeat as conference champions in their respective events at the Southland Conference Outdoor Championships at Cameron Communications Track and Field Complex on the campus of McNeese State.

FRISCO – Joe Wade and Beatrice Douglas were both honored by the Southland on Wednesday after impressive showings at this past Saturday’s Texas State Bobcat Classic, with Wade winning the 1,500 meter run and Douglas finishing third in the long jump.

SAN MARCOS - A number of Lamar athletes had strong days as the Lamar men's and women's track teams competed in the Bobcat Classic at Texas State Track and Field Complex on Saturday.

BEAUMONT - The Lamar men's and women's track teams are hitting the home stretch for the 2013 outdoor season, and Saturday's Bobcat Classic offers the final opportunity for a tune-up prior to next month's Southland Conference Championships.

FRISCO – Joe Wade has made a home for himself atop the Southland Conference performance lists over the years, and this past weekend was no different as the graduate student recorded a time of 8:56.41 in the 3,000 meter steeplechase to hold on to the top spot in the league, earning Southland Athlete of the Week in the process.

HOUSTON - Leslie Beard and Carissa Hill each won individual crowns on Saturday at Holloway Field and Ley Track to lead the way for the Lamar track program at the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet on the campus of Rice University.

WALNUT, Calif. - Joe Wade started things off strong for the Lamar track team, putting up a conference-best time in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on Thursday, and the rest of the Cardinals followed his lead as the Mt. SAC Relays came to a close at Hilmer Lodge Stadium.

BEAUMONT – With a handful of standout distance runners competing in California and a number of other athletes using the weekend to rest, head coach Trey Clark and his Lamar men’s and women’s track teams will bring a smaller group than normal to Ley Track and Holloway Field for the J. Fred Duckett Twilight Meet on Saturday afternoon.

BEAUMONT – Six Cardinals will compete at this weekend’s Mt. San Antonio College Relays as the Lamar track program looks to continue its strong distance running tradition.

LAKE CHARLES - Claire Miles took home the 3,000 meter steeplechase crown and Johnathon Reece grabbed the high jump title as the Lamar men's and women's track teams competed at the McNeese Springtime Classic at the Cameron Communications Complex.
