  We are thinking about adding this feature this year during the track season. It is based off of what flotrack does with their Workout Wednesday. The idea is to go cover a HS or College athetes in Texas by recording a hard workout session. Please give us some feedback on the video and some ideas to make it better. Should we make this a weekly feature?

Abilene, Texas - Paced by Megan Wagenaar's runner-up performance, the Concordia University Texas women's cross country team won the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 1 in its first meet of the season. Women's Cross Country Completes First Week of Practices With a Workout at Elizabeth Milburn Park; Rowlette Interviewed (via Concordia University Texas)

Richardson, Texas – Joli Bula, Mark Giardinelli and Lauren Vansickle headline a list of seven Concordia University Texas student-athletes who were named to the American Southwest Conference Winter/Spring 2010-11 Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league office on Monday, June 13. Bula, Giardinelli and Vansickle, who are each being honored for the second straight season, were joined by Colin Butschek, Connor Davenport, Brianna Smith and Sophie Weber.

Richardson, Texas – Twenty-seven Concordia University Texas student-athletes were named to the 2010-11 American Southwest Conference Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Friday, June 3. The teams include the sports of basketball, baseball, softball, golf and track & field.

Delaware, Ohio – Concordia University Texas' Chris Randle tied for sixth in the men's high jump at the 2011 NCAA Division III Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Friday, May 27. The three-day national event is being held at Ohio Wesleyan University's Selby Field and George Gauthier Track.

Austin, Texas - Freshman high jumper Chris Randle will be the first student-athlete - male or female - to represent Concordia University Texas at the NCAA Division III Track & Field Championships. The competition will be hosted by Ohio Wesleyan on the George Gauthier Track from May 26-28.

San Antonio, Texas - Cedric Perry represented the Concordia Unversity Texas men's track & field team at the Incarnate Word Last Chance Meet on Thursday, May 12 at Benson Stadium.

Abilene, Texas - Cedric Perry finished third in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and ran the first leg for the runner-up 4x100-meter relay in leading the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team to a fifth-place finish among six schools with 54 points at the American Southwest Conference Championships on Saturday, Apr. 30 at McMurry University's Wilfred Moore Stadium. The Tornados, who are in their second year as a varsity program, showed tremendous improvement by finishing one spot higher in the team standings and achieving 13 more points than they did at the same meet in their inaugural season last spring.

Abilene, Texas - Chris Randle won the high jump by registering an NCAA provisional mark for the third time this spring to lead the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team to a fifth-place standing among six schools at the American Southwest Conference Championships on Friday, Apr. 29 at McMurry University's Wilford Moore Stadium. The Tornados accumulated 18 points through six events.

Richardson, Texas - The Concordia University Texas men's and women's track & field teams will compete at the 2011 American Southwest Conference Championships on Apr. 29-30 on the campus of McMurry University in Abilene, Texas. Both Tornado squads, which are in their second year of varsity competition, will look to improve on last season's sixth-place finishes.

Austin, Texas - The Tornado Coaches Show, a weekly audio broadcast chronicling the most recent news involving Concordia University Texas Athletics, will air its 19th episode of the season on Tuesday, Apr. 26 at 10:30 a.m. CST. The show will be broadcasted live from the Taco Bell located on FM 620 near Rt. 2222 and Four Points Drive.

Waco, Texas - Freshman high jumper met the NCAA provisional standard for the second time this spring to lead the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team at the Michael Johnson Dr. Pepper Classic held at Baylor University's Hart-Patterson Track & Field Complex on Saturday, Apr. 23. The prestigious meet had a field made up of collegiate-leading performers, primarily at the NCAA Division I level, and world-class competition.

Austin, Texas - Women's soccer player Lya Morfitt was presented with two major awards from Director of Athletics Dan Huntley at the 2010-11 Concordia University Texas Annual Athletics Banquet held on Tuesday, Apr. 19 at the Concordia Field House. The event celebrated all of the achievements of Tornado athletics over the course of the academic year. Other major award winners included baseball standouts Justin Beasley and Collin Janssen, men's soccer player Drew Kasper and softball star Jessica Rattan.

San Angelo, Texas - Bryce Elarms placed seventh in the 400-meter dash to pace the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team at the Angelo State Relays on Saturday, Apr. 16 at the LeGrand Sports Complex. The Tornados, who were competing in their first scoring meet of the season, placed 14th among 14 scoring teams at the competition with two points.

San Antonio, Texas - Freshman Chris Randle eclipsed the NCAA provisional mark in the high jump and Cesar Serrano established new program standards in three different throwing events to lead the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team at the Trinity Alumni Classic on Saturday, April 1 at the E.M. Stevens Track & Field Stadium. The Tornados set seven school records and had 17 season-best performances at the non-scoring meet.
