  We are thinking about adding this feature this year during the track season. It is based off of what flotrack does with their Workout Wednesday. The idea is to go cover a HS or College athetes in Texas by recording a hard workout session. Please give us some feedback on the video and some ideas to make it better. Should we make this a weekly feature?

Abilene, Texas - Paced by Megan Wagenaar's runner-up performance, the Concordia University Texas women's cross country team won the Hardin-Simmons Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 1 in its first meet of the season. Richardson, Texas – Joli Bula, Mark Giardinelli and Lauren Vansickle headline a list of seven Concordia University Texas student-athletes who were named to the American Southwest Conference Winter/Spring 2010-11 Distinguished Scholar-Athlete Team, as announced by the league office on Monday, June 13. Bula, Giardinelli and Vansickle, who are each being honored for the second straight season, were joined by Colin Butschek, Connor Davenport, Brianna Smith and Sophie Weber.

Abilene, Texas - Cedric Perry finished third in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles and ran the first leg for the runner-up 4x100-meter relay in leading the Concordia University Texas men's track & field team to a fifth-place finish among six schools with 54 points at the American Southwest Conference Championships on Saturday, Apr. 30 at McMurry University's Wilfred Moore Stadium. The Tornados, who are in their second year as a varsity program, showed tremendous improvement by finishing one spot higher in the team standings and achieving 13 more points than they did at the same meet in their inaugural season last spring.

Austin, Texas - Women's soccer player Lya Morfitt was presented with two major awards from Director of Athletics Dan Huntley at the 2010-11 Concordia University Texas Annual Athletics Banquet held on Tuesday, Apr. 19 at the Concordia Field House.
