The girls meet record was set three years ago in 2013 by Natalie Rathjen who ran the 5K course in 17:38. This year sophomore Ashton Endsley from Abilene will look to take down that record, having run a PR of 16:58. It will be a tight race behind Endsley with several girls having run sub 18:20, including two girls from Marcus. Seniors Madeleine Reed and Payton Brown will look to led the Marcus girls into battle against Southlake Carroll. Southlake Carroll has two girls who will be mixing it up with the leaders as well with Sarah Odneal and Gillian Mortimer . Both girls have run 18:50's for 5k. Last year Marcus came out on top winning 63 to 85. It will be a tight battle again this year between the two teams. Other teams fighting for a place on the podium will be Frisco Liberty and Keller. Frisco Liberty will look for leadership in Yuliana Lorenso and Carrie Fish have run 19 minutes or faster.
