The conditions were still nice for the girls race, with a slight breeze in the air and the sun still on the rise when the gun went off. It was Klein Oak's Kassidy Burrow who got out to the early lead trailed closely by a pack of Seven Lakes runners, and several runners from Katy and Cy Woods. At the mile mark Burrow had opened up her lead but was still being hunted by the pack of young Seven Lakes runners. Through the field two the down hill on the second loop things begin to spread out and open the field a little more. Seven Lakes Mikela Mccauley opened up a slight lead on the rest of the chase pack using the down hill to her advantage. Someone who made a large move was Houston Memorial's Leslie Romero. The senior went from top 10 to fourth in the small stretch of the course. Coming into the two mile mark it was still Burrow with the lead, followed by Romero who made a strong push on the back half of the course again to get into second. The top two Seven Lakes runners were still sitting in third and fourth with Cy Woods Kelsey Evans close on their heals in fifth. In the second loop the leaders remained the same with Burrow, and Romero in first and second. It was the battle for third that opened up between Mccauley and Evans, it came down to the kick but Mccauley would keep her third place with Evans taking fourth.
The team from Seven Lakes took the team title placing their top 5 in the top 15 scoring 42 points. It was a close battle for second and third between Cy Woods and Katy. Both teams had several runners in the top pack early in the race. As things strung out through miles two and three it was the girls from Cy Woods Evans and Amber Byrd who helped lead there team to victory. Cy Woods would place second with 80 points while Katy finished third scoring 96 points.
