Justin Domangue at last years state meet
Two key returners on the guys side are Alvarado's Justin Domangue and River Oaks Castleberry's Eduardo Trevizo, they finished 2nd and 3rd in 2014. In Region 1 Domangue and Trevizo both ran sub 15:25 for 3 miles. Domangue also finished third in the stacked boys gold race at McNeil. San Elizario junior Erick Arambula finished only a seconds behind Trevizo at Region to place third. Other guys who will look to be in the mix are Seva Nix and Jarred Elizondo from Bandera. The pair had a strong showing at Region 4 finishing 1-2. They've run two of the fastest 5K times in class 4A this year. Three more guys who have run well under 16 minutes for 5K are Robinson's Johen Deleon, Andrews' Jacob Chapman and San Elizario's Erick Arambula. There are also several other other guys who will be in the mix having run just over 16:00.
Bandera guys
In the team battle we will see a showdown between Andrews and Bandera. Bandera has two strong leaders in Nix and Elizondo, but Andrews has stronger a 1-5 split of 41.49. These two teams will be battling it out for first but there will be a few other teams in the mix possibly looking for an upset. Lufkin Hudson has the third best team score and their followed closely behind by the guys from San Elizario (last years state champs). The guys from Robinson are also looking good led by a strong senior class. They only lost one senior from last years 3rd place state team.
