Three Texans Make Foot Locker Nationals!

Reed Brown

The Southlake Carroll stud has had a crazy post season! At State he placed 5th in one of the muddiest races this year. Then he turned around two weeks later and won NXN South. His 4th place finish at Foot Locker South just adds to his long list of accolades already this season. This was the juniors first time racing Foot Locker South, and he's now punched his ticket to San Diego. Brown will also be traveling to Portland with his team for NXN.

Matthew Kearney was the next closest finisher to making it to Foot Locker nationals on the guys side he placed 28th. Other guys in the mix were Justin Domangue (36th), David Strome (42nd), and Nathan Gift (56th). Strome as well as several other Texas runners got caught up in a massive pile up within the first mile. Strome dropped way back in the pack and made up the ground to end up placing 42nd. The guys race was won by Virginia's Drew Hunter with a new course record time of 14:26.
