The best race in North Texas concluded Saturday with some answers to the questions on who was going to be state contenders.
Craig Lutz(pictured above) defended his home course with a quick 15:33. The super sophomore ran relatively even splits going 4:52, 4:56, 5:44 (1.1 miles). Lutz made a decisive move at 2 miles to run away from CJ Brown and other super sophomore Donovan Torres. All 3 will battle again at the Region I championships on Donovans home course in Lubbock.
Flower Mound stamped itself at one of the favorites to make it out of Region I with victories over rivals #6 Southlake Carroll, Marcus, and #8 Coppell. Flower Mound was led by Connor Adams who placed 4th overall in 15:58. Flower Mound had an impressive 16:43 avg for their top 5.
