Analysis: Rahmaan is another athlete who had a stellar year in both cross and track last year. The only thing her cross season missed was a medal from state. That day didn't go as she would have liked, but prior to that day her season was fantastic with a fast 17:52.41 at McNeil and a runner - up finish at Region II-6A. After state, Rahmaan returned to her impressive running with a 18:00.56 effort at NXN South Regionals for 6th place to earn her a spot on the South team for Nike Nationals. On the track, she dropped 4:56.36 and 10:34.23 at state in the 1600m and 3200m for fourth place in both.
Rahmaan hasn't ran this cross season due to Hurricane Harvey related schedule issues on the season. She should get her season started today at the 2017 Moonlight Madness Invitational.
