With a 27 second split at the 200 meter mark, Taylor Long of Hamilton wasn't messing around. The senior wasted no time taking command of the race and led from start to finish. He reached the 600 meter mark with a time of 1:29 and continued to step on the gas, winning with a time 1:57.02.
Centerville senior Kasen Jeitz challenged all the way to finish and came in second with a time of 1:58.65. The senior was in the mix throughout the race and contended for the top podium spot.
Joining his teammate, Hamilton senior Caleb Lengefeld took the final medal with a strong kick and time of 1:59.20 after winning the 3,200m earlier this morning.
