Javon Lee needed a good start if he wanted to win the 1A Boys 100-meter dash and he did exactly that. Quick off the blocks, the Claude senior held off the favorites and won by just a hair. He edged off last year's silver medalist by just .02 seconds, Jordan Daniel of Rotan

Despite coming in with one of the slower times from regionals, Whitharral's Shamadrick Weaver held his on to take third with a time of 11.17.

From the get-go, Baret Jackson made up the stagger and was in good position to get a medal. However, last year's state champion wanted more -- like another state title. The Rankin junior was gliding across the track but found himself in second behind Griff Reel of Jayton, just before the final straight away. Jackson used his strong kick and showed why he is the reigning champion with a time of 50.73.

Reel, who was also the fastest qualifier coming in, held onto second for a time of 50.73. Knox City's Devin Guillory took the bronze with a time of 51.44. All three medalists will return next year.

Closing out his day and high school career going three-for-three on gold medals was Jakyen Wright. The Paducah senior didn't appear to be in position around the curve. Just a few meters later, he accelerated past the outside lanes and never looked back. No photo finish was needed as Wright crossed the line with a time of 22.20.

Jordan Daniel of Rotan added another silver medal to his accolades with a time of 22.48. Shamadrick Weaver of Whitharral, just like he did in the 100-meter dash, claimed the bronze medal in a time of 22.53.
